I cant smell anymore

theres something wrong with my nose. For some reason, and this has been going on for 5 years, I cannot smell anything anymore. I atleast try but the problem is that I always have mucus in my nose that is constantly running. Almost like as if I have cold but for 5 years straight. I have to constantly be cleaning my nose cause for some reason I always get like bright yellow or even white mucus coming down my nose. I also noticed recently this big wall of mucus or something inside of my nose that seems to be a build up of Mucus. I tryed to pull it out with some tweazers but for some reason it hurts my nose and I also notice blood comming out of that ball or wall. Im also noticing that my vision is getting more and more worse. So bad, that Im actually seeing double. Im thinking that its sinusittis but im not sure. I went to a doctor when this first happend and he told me that it was probably just a cold. I think he was right cause it was winter but I guess I didnt describe very well what the situation was. But now im starting to get worried cause I can feel the sinus pressure behind my skull and not just on my face anymore.
Do you think it's normal?

You could try using a Neti pot regularly and getting on a good prescription allergy medication like singular or claritin.

But honestly you need to go to an ear nose and throat specialist, they know more about these things than regular doctors. It's beginning to sound very serious, so I would go right away.

ah that sounds crazy go back to the dr its been that long somethings wrong maybe sumin bad thats effing u up inside and gettin bigger u need it fixed... i cant smell that well either ever since i got a cold a few years ago my nose is always plugged and then i got the flu last month and i cant smell hardly or taste well either and i get insane congestion headaches and decongestants make me panic and get terrible anxiety so i take nasonex now but i heard u can get cysts in ur nose that make flem build up and run down ur throat and what not and thats my prob so im going to the dr next week.. i was hopin u had the same prob as me cuz its driving me crazy!!

Five years, that is no cold.

If it is not caused by something in your environment (mold, allergy, etc) go get an X Ray or a culture taken. Could be just about anything until it is checked. Do it quickly!

You never took Zicam, did you? That medicine is getting recalled because of evidence that it can cause anosmia. If you did, you should probably... uhhh... call the FDA and then sue

you might have a nasal drip and do to your doctor to get medicine for it

Go see a doctor again. This, of course, is by no means normal, but in such a situation, asking for advice online is not the cleverest thing for one to do. Seeing a doctor may be more helpful.

Go see a doctor. That could be bad because your sense of smell tells you if food is spoiled, if your hands are really clean, if your house is clean, if something took a dump in your house, if there's animal sh*t on the ground, if your spouse has been cheating,

I heard on the news that cold and sinus medicine, Zicam can over time, take away a person's sense of smell.
