I cringe and get a chill when rubber brushes against my body hair

I've been this way since I can remember. I just can't stand the feeling of rubber (like an eraser) brushing against my arm hair, for example. It's not an alergic reaction or anything. It's just the sensation of the way the rubber pulls on my hairs that gets to me. My girlfriend has rubber bracelets on her ankles and sometimes when we're in bed, it brushes against my leg hair and I cringe and get a chill. Is this normal?
