I prefer very plain, stripped down, streamlined style of decorating. I use bold color, fabric and stylish furniture as the main theme for my decor. No pictures on the walls, solid colors, nothing with a pattern, no knick-knack display, etc.
However, I LOVE to place random extremely interesting or weird objects around my house in odd places so that whenever anyone comes over they notice a new 'Easter egg' every time. There's so many and they're hidden but in plain sight, people never notice all of them, sometimes it's years before someone will notice something. It makes me so happy.
