I think the movie's good (2 is the best, but you kinda need 1 to get it), but it's not a patch on the book. You should read it sometime, you might like it more : )

Welcome to my club. I like movies, and I watch just good ones. I don't like Godfather either, and I stopped watching it after 30 minutes because it was to boring.

I talked with 2 older guys than me and they really think is an awesome movie. But guess what: they hate Lord of The rings. It's just a matter of taste.

Marlon Brando played an excellent role in the movie. Very talented. Sort of based on reality because the mob does exist and is this evil and vindictive.

To think there are ice-cold, ruthless people like this in real life makes my blood curdle. I cannot watch these types of movies.

Very normal to NOT want to watch these types of movies. My opinion.

I feel like it's sorta a treatise on how to live your life.
:What kind of wife should you go after.
Some of the clothes they were wearing were albeit old fashioned but
solid.
You want to become a respected and loved man like Vito, rather
than be dreaded like Michael.
It shows you how beautiful life can be. (weddings and such)
(In the book, the godfather even remarks on that on his deathbed)
and how ugly it can be (murders, distrust, etc) with a noticeable
tone change from movie 1 to movie 3. From old fashioned and happy to hopeless and modern/ambitious.

But anyways the first question was just to get your attention, so ignore
that part.

I disagree, it's a phenomenal movie, but everyone is entitled to their opinion. And I'm glad there's people like you out there, who only don't understand subtlety and quality, and only like shiny noisy things. Cuz otherwise, we wouldn't have Paris Hilton. And she's funny...

One of the best movies ever, for the people that don't like it your either too young to understand it, not smart enough to understand what there saying and the plot or just have no idea what a good movie is about.

Sounds like you're a kid in high school. The Godfather is for grownups. Your friends don't really like it; they're just pretending to like it so they can all seem cool. Why don't you grow up first, and then you can watch grownup movies. Meanwhile go watch The X Men or something.

I've seen most of the first one. Apart from the beginning, which was *slightly* slow but still good, I thought it was great. Even though many people probably do like the movie, most of the ones who don't will probably claim that they do. Just like classical music, lol. I hate those damn liars.
