I really just don't brush my teeth.
maybe once every few weeks... ?
i've had two cavities my entire life,
it's not like my teeth are rotting out of my head.
i simply... can't be bothered to brush them every night and every morning.
anyone else completely disregard taking care of their teeth?

You should do that at least once a day, I agree. Not only will people suddenly start talking more with you but you'll also feel better.
I believe it gets annoying over time and even I get bored with having to do that all the time but as I try to be optimistic, at least I LOVE the taste of tooth-paste and the fresh feeling it leaves in my mouth.
Later, when it fades away a little and you are able to eat, the food tastes even better!!!
So make a change and you'll be a proud, shiny-smile-grandpa one day.
XD
Haha, anyway, you'll get used to it.
and they didnt rot.
he just didnt eat so much sweets, maybe he didnt eat any. (he is 68)
Almost everyone above is correct when they say you will regret it, i didn't used to brush my teeth as my gums were unbelievably uncomfortable, and now my teeth are rotting, i am genuinly worried i won't be able to get it sorted due to the lack of NHS dentists these days!
Do yourself a favour, if not for others, and brush your teeth!
Also people don't have strong enamel or weak enamel. Its the bacteria in your mouth that cause cavities. The bacteria eat the plaque and food debris and produce acid in turn which eats away the enamel...think of it as pooping acid. The more the bacteria can eat the more acid they poop out.
Mouth wash does NOT prevent gum disease! removing the food source of the bacteria thats cause the infection does!
Your comment makes me want to puke

I went without brushing my teeth for a couple months, no effect but now, my gums bleed all the time when i floss and it hurts and feels irritated all the time. Not worth the annoyance of your day, trust me.
I was flossing brushing and rinsing everyday but still had bad breath. I spent thousands on all kinds of products claiming to stop bad breath but still had bad breath. I came across an eBook from badhalitosisbreath.com and it gave me my first insight into my problem. After I did all the advice in the eBook it identified Post Nasal Drip as the primary issue with eating and cleaning as the oral problem.
So I was happily surprised when my brother asked the following week why my breath didn’t smell any more, I told him what I’d done he’s like thank god for that book!
Now 6 months later I have my first girlfriend and worked up enough courage to tell her about what I was like just 1 year ago. She said I smelt better then any other boyfriend she’d had. Music to my ears!
its the gums that brushing is mainly concerned about.
Also you most likely have extremely bad breath. If you think chewing gum helps think again because gum does not rid your mouth from the bacteria that harbors there when you don't brush your disgusting teeth.
I don't have any particular idea why. While it's tedious, it's not so tedious to explain my aversion to it.
I've always had crooked teeth and girls have never liked me so those were never persuasive reasons for me to bother.
I tended to only brush for special or formal occasions. Nobody has ever commented or even hinted at the bad breath I know I have.
For about six months I brushed twice a day (properly), flossed, used the tongue scraper and ended up with 16 cavities despite my efforts. That was the last nail in the coffin. Now that implants are a viable option I feel I have some hope. If I could mercilessly beat myself into a proper routine I'd have the oral health to undergo the implant procedure, assuming I could afford it but it would be all for naught if I neglected them too.
My teeth are extremely resilient, despite being crooked, crossbitten, and. Neglect has damaged them regardless: I have gingivitis and advanced periodental disease with at least 4mm of eroded jawbone. All in all I'm quite impressed that I'm not in more pain more often.
The funniest thing is that with my abject terror of dentists, it would make sense to take really good care of them.
It could just be a self-fulfilling prophecy where I'm spiting myself for not being liked in the first place.
So while I'm a hypocrite for saying it, you should take care of them. You don't have to obsess over it like most people but brush at least once a day and floss once per week, use mouthwash when you feel lazy or you're pressed for time. Or if you give up, get antibiotics to save you from blood poisoning and get dug in and prepare for pain.
LOL. Get out.
Jess
i hope all your teeth fall out
