When I'm walking, random people will look at me then smile. I have a hard time smiling back.When I took pictures for school, I attempted to smile but it looked like a grimace. Even when I'm really happy and start smiling and laughing, I can't stand it long because it hurts my face. Is this normal?

It hurts your face?! Are you serious? That makes no sense too me. Maybe you're wearing too much make-up or have too many things pierced. If not, then it sounds like something really might be wrong.

well, i don't like to smile what so ever, in school photos people smile and all try to encourage me to smile, but i don't smile and i tell them that,eventually they get so frustrated they threaten to tape my mouth to my cheeks so it looks like im smiling but inside i just feel like yellin "i dont fkin smile just take the fkin photo!!!!" but i know i cant, it is normal some dont smile, some do, so dont mock people who dont smile all you lam commenters.

Although smiling is good for your own brain, if you don't feel like smiling, then don't! Nobody has a right to make you!

i'm glad you made a post about this, i don't like smiling either, i don't have a natural smile and if i try it's horribly fake looking

i can manage a slight grin, but not much more without looking phony

Wow finally someone like me exist in this world. I thought it was only me and little Wednesday in Adams Family had that problem. I hate it when people say smile as they take pictures or you have to smile in certain situations. I just smile whenever I feel like it otherwise it feels fake and I hate when I see the fake smiles on people's faces. Only good actors can pull that off.

Eh, I'm not particularly fond of my smile either. Sometimes, it comes out okay, and at others, it makes me look like a freak. When I make myself smile for photos, I feel incredibly awkward.
