I feel lack of respect for my posts on the net

I write in a lot of online forums (as well as stories and stuff) and one thing I just can't get over is how damned Good I am am at it.

I give advice, make people laugh and treat them to my wisdom in many places.

One of my favorite hobbies is to go back from time to time and search out some of my very favorite posts, re-reading my brilliance or humor and making myself smile.

One thing that bugs me is that while I have long thought that my every utterance should be saved for posterity, many websites either delete posts after a time or refuse to allow people to bring old posts back to the forefront.

It bothers me that I work so hard on my posts, yet many times people who join a site months or years past my original posts might well miss out on my wisdom and charm.

hahah lol i feel you, think of it as practice. Then there is a secret to this, get real live friends who will appreciate your charm in life.
i think your posts suck, and i don't ever read them
October Marie, what a laugh and a half :) Not even she's that full of herself.
i know how you feel tober. all my witty repartees, not to mention my steaming hot "erotica" was wiped clean off this site altogether.

but it's a better site now anyway. a lot of garbage was eradicated.

btw, im ready to wheel you around the sandy shores of florida on a moonlit night anytime you're ready for it :D ...
"Tell ya what, you can be my secret internet stud."

Haha, some secret!
:(
Oh gad, what conceit. Please, will you stop flaunting your "Brilliance". We all do the same exact thing in some form, shape or size. Next time hun, the next time you want to bring up a post that doesn't really have a point, don't post it.

BUT if you must. Add at least one gay sex joke in there SOMEWHERE. Jeez.
Moi is conceited? I just looked at your bio page junior and if that ain't the pot calling the kettle afro-american...

My POINT was that, both here and all over places like this on the net, I feel that my wisdom should be preserved for future generations. And it is not. :(

Unfair and sad.

You want a gay joke? Okay:

The Enigma and HomerJ walk into this bathhouse together, and............

T. to the O. to the B.R.A.
All I can say is that you are nuts! You dont even know me! When I tell you the entire story you will regret typing this message!
Well this isn't a perfect world afterall where everyone's opinion would be taken seriously.

It's just how the world turns.
@OMB
Perhaps you could copy what you consider valuable posts into documents such as doc, rtf, or PDF's and or have your bf download them instead, as it appears the downloading and not the porn is what he enjoys, and when you have 100 Gb of your posts, don't let him erase them, you save them for you and then could write a coffee table book or something that's important and preserves them for you.
Now THAT is actually an idea!

I might have to think on it. It seems a shame for my brilliance to be wasted when future generations might need it.

Tobra
Heres some advice that I think is pretty good...

MODESTY

...Hope it helps.
Write a book. I'm sure the idea has crossed your mind.
Save your posts on your computer, and post them again after they are deleted.
What a s*** post
lol its a good point really.
a tad egocentric dear?

our species has been recycling thoughts for eons.

nothing is original.
It's called reality.
I COMPLETELY know how you feel.
I write alot of poetry and have recently been posting it on this online community site - compared the the rest of the crap on that site, my writing is like works of fucking art (they're decent), but yet, I only get a moderate amount of feedback while I see suckers writing the sappiest bullshit, and getting praise like they just wrote Moby Dick.
It's so frusturating.
@: Stryker
So very true.

I read ~A LOT~ and when I see some of the PAP that gets published, well hell, even if I can't spell better than your average third grader, I should get a Hugo Award by default in comparison to some of this "authors"

They must be jealous of you,try to be a nice gal ,and MAKE them like you ,just keep smiling and you will be on your way..
I just found this sickeningly conceited. Who cares? A lot of people write funny and witty things every day.

Why don't you try for a job writing a newspaper column or something if you think you're that good?
I think this is utterly hilarious. Ms October, in all your effervescent glory you really should make efforts to preserve these strings of words with punctuation marks for future generations to gaze at in awe. Truly, you are everything we want to be when we finally manage to spark something within that hollow cavity. Tell me, what does it feel like to be a goddess among maggot? Do you feel powerful manipulating pond scum around the surface? We all know you're just fishing around for comments, sarcastic or not. You remind me of that child that prods things with a stick just to get a reaction.

Play yourself up some more, after were done praising you, we can drag you back down into this hellish place we call reality.
And after reading some of your other posts I can see how you would write an attack like you did toward me.

I Do not consider myself a Goddess among maggots, far from it - I just know that I have great qualities (some of them) as does everyone, and I like to be able to help others with them.

You appear to be a sad, lonely man; but I wish you well.

Ms. O
join the club!
Haha... I do that, too. Not abnormal at all. I guess when you feel you've made someone laugh, or given good advice, you want to go back and see what exactly it was that worked magic, so you can try it out later. And it's a bit like the proverbial pat on the back when you're down or whatever. I don't do it that often, but I'll admit I've done it before, and it feels darn good. Lol.
I love your sense of humour so no wonder you make your self laugh when you re-read your posts lol.
what are you even talking about ? :S
pull ur head out of your ass and stop loving yaself. just because u believe ur great doesnt make it so
You are the arrogant one from the last post I read about how you wonder why people don't like you. You're not as great as you think you are and regardless of how much you love yourself you are the only one that thinks so. You'll never have any real friends either
Maybe your posts are so great because in real life you don't actually have any friends or get out much?

Jerk.
Totally get what you're saying, I write too on a site and it can really piss you off when you know you're writing and posting something good and its just flying under the radar and no one notices it. But yeah, I'd advise what they're saying and publish a book. Can't really go wrong on that one, can you ;)?
OCTOBER MA'AM.

In a way, I understand what you are saying. I often feel I give decent advice and/or make people smile, and like many people, seek the approval of others for what I've spent so much time saying. I don't get a lot of responses, and it does make me feel bad sometimes. However, you are coming off a bit "cocky", and I think this is throwing a lot of people off. Some people really put a lot of themselves into what they say, and it hurts when we don't get the response we think is deserving of the time we put in. Such is the life of the internet. I too, put a lot of thought into what I say on here, and really do try to help people. Much as I love to hear I am appreciated, mostly, I am ignored. Oh well, I think we do reach some, but they just never let us know. If we are giving advice from our heart, I think we have to learn to accept that somewhere, we may have touched someone, and the bottom line is, as long as we are doing what we believe is "God's" work, that is all the appreciation we really need.
@: sadali
You could be right about me sounding like that.

I suffer from a lack of tact.

Thanks.

The Eternally Effervescent Ms. O.
If I wrote more, I would be beating a dead horse. I commented on this fact on your other post about you being Arrogent.

Which you aren't.

To sum up though, I truly value your opinion and you are part of the reason why I like this site. Even knowing I am new here, I plan on staying here and you are the girl side to what I need for my post. YOU ARE FINE.

Lastly, thank you so much and if nobody else cares, I care what you write and please don't quit.

Paul
You stated:

"It bothers me that I work so hard on my posts, yet many times people who join a site months or years past my original posts might well miss out on my wisdom and charm."

I often worry about that as well about what I write. I now see that this site is smaller (population wise) than I originally thought and it was a letdown but it is okay.

However, I tend to write a lot and a great deal of time goes into what I write and I often worry about the same thing. If nothing else, I love your post and look for them before reading other lines of crap from more ignorant people.
