I hate myself

I keep beating myself up over mistakes I've made in the past and I can't seem to forgive myself. Everyone says I need to look to the future and that the past can't be changed. I know this, but I can't seem to get over my past. It feels like I've wasted all the oppertunities I've been given.
Do you think it's normal?

Dw bout it, I hate myself too. try getting therapy, that might help.
the best way to continue to waste opportunity is to dwell on the opportunities you've wasted.

what new opportunities are coming up now?
Does hating your self make you happy?
No it's depressing
i hate you and i hate myself, because i hate everybody
well ur gonna waste more if u keep worrying. its always easier to make things worse.
everybody hates themselves to SOME degree...

you're no different from 99% of humanity. welcome to the club...

and most people are prolly telling you that bc they dont wanna hear about your problems..

(if i knew you, i would tell you that)

so... yeah, stop whining and just live.
Eh, I don't feel therapy is the best step. All they do is tell you that your just a stupid child who only wants attention and blah buh blah blahhh! I just, would reallllly decide against therapy. If you are a teen, then the evil bitch isn't worth being demeaned by someone who doesn't even know you.

But it helps SOME people. The really demented ones...
You could try getting a consular, You just have to learn how to let go of your past, It's hard, but after you do that you will feel SO much better.

Open yourself to love flikr. it's much better.

Oh, just kidding. I dont give a rat's sphincter about your pathetic existance.

LOL
well I believe opportunities are created not given.
I think looking at the present is more important than the future.
sometimes looking also at the good things you did in your past helps.
most of all you have no option but to forgive yourself, unless you enjoy self-hate.
I beat myself up over mistakes I have made in the past to. The important thing is that you realize that you have made mistakes and now you can learn from them. The mistakes we make and the choices we make in life help to make us who we are. Whenever you start thinking about the mistakes you have made, instead of thinking about what you did wrong and the opportunities you missed out on, think about what you learned from them instead and all of the great opportunities that still lay ahead of you. take care and I hope this helps.
stop beating your self up over mistakes. your only human your suppose to make mistakes. no one is perfect
Hate is too powerfull an emotion to waste. try disliking yourself a bit, its easier and you might not hate it as much.
Do you beat other people up the same way?
well i figure the only way to handle this is to accept that off course it your fault and that it already happened and that dwelling in the past is wasting time you can find to do other things. you have to remember you're human and things like this happen all the time and all we can do is learn from it. tell yourself that when u get a flashback that you learned from it and its never to late to change the negative!
i hate why i am human why i hate myself i don understand why i am human!!
i feel the exact same way and i can't get it out of me i think the best thing is to find a coping methode is best. but i haven't found one yet some people say gym. but what does help me some times when it is realy bad i keep the image of white light goin through my head it helps
If you don't correct your mistakes then it means nothing, otherwise it COULD make you into a better person.

Keep in mind that no matter what you do or how you are there will always be someone who hates you more than you hate yourself
i was just like you, i always would remember the things i didnt do,say,or react the way i shouldnt have. but then i would rite all the things on a piece of paper,, cry alot. then tear the paper up and keep the shreds of paper in a cup in my room.. it always reminded me of it and sometimes i was actaully glad that i didnt not do themm
come'on wasting another opportunity by metioning it here. if you regret it so much what did u do to change it. i hate people who just want to blame to excuse themselves from making another blame on them like avoiding things. if you did be so regretful you would have worked to it and opportunities are more or less occuring twice.
so i know this is going to seem odd, but do you know God? honestly i beat myself up for my past mistakes but God is the only one who can forgive you. If you believe in that, it is so refreshing. It keeps my head above water. I will always make some mistake but I know that there is something bigger out there.
completely normal, and if it is severe enough, might be due to anxiety disorder. there are medications, but they don't always work that well and can make you somewhat zombified. try saint john's wort, flax seed oil, meditation, or just exercising more. also, if you can't stop thinking about it, get a hobby.... something else to focus on.
Sometimes people look back at their mistakes and think 'why did I do that?' and sometimes it is difficult to get over mistakes, and you realise that if you had the chance to re live your life you would change sevral things. Unfortunatly that's not the case and all that is left to do is move on, or set these mistakes right but doing something which might make you feel better about what you did.

It can be difficult moving on but there are always plently of new opportunities in life and in the long term you might realise that maybe those mistakes you did was for the best. Plus mistakes are there to learn from, so you kno what to do next time a similar scenario comes along.
Havent you seen the lion king... the monkey is right.. jeez its like disney spends all this money and time trying to make a piece of crap, elton john just strolled by to record the circle of life.....

But seriously, dude don't beat yourself up about the past, just learn from it, seriously, thats why you have your memory, you learn from the mistakes you've made and you move on, if you stick in the past like you do, you are just going to keep making the same mistakes,

Its like walking backwards and focusing on what you've just passed. oops you fell on a rock, you get up. if you don't turn around and look where you are going you are going to trip over that rock again.... and again.... and again, so turn around and remember to step over the rock so it doesnt make you fall again.
Don't look to the future either. Just stay in the present moment and you'll be fine. There are no problems in the present moment. Read The Power of Now, by Eckhart Tolle.
The past is the past the only thing you can do is pave a better future.
I do this too. Just thought I'd share roflmao. Good Luck!

~Peace~
better for the world you should criticise yourself than be some conceited little narcissist prick hating everything else. You're a part of the balance -- but if you don't have a vent like writing songs or painting or whatever then maybe better find one..
a lot of ppl do that but ay theres that saying..."you only live once" so ya keep your head up and keep it pushin. time is valuable and its a terrible thing to waste especially if your dwelling over stuff in the past. You'll never grow as a person..."Live and Learn". :)
i used to punch myself in the head when i was a kid, i was really messed up back then, anything that happened in the world i would blame myself, so i would punch myself in the head, i regret it now as i always have headaches from doing it
live and learn mate, we all make mistakes in our life, you lose out on some things in life because of stupid mistakes, but at least if u get another opportunity, you wont make the same mistakes
