I'm 18-going on 19. I hate new music...why??? Because it all sounds the SAME. The record companies never like a different or unique sound. I'm a huge fan of classic rock and classic country music. 50's 60's 70's 80's and early 90's. However I like a few new bands that are acually good, and have been around since the 90's such as Dropkick Murphys and Rammstein. Because they are different. I like zz top, pink floyd, queen, black sabbath, led zeppelin, ect. Classic country I like waylon jennings, alabama, johnny cash, johnny paycheck, eddie rabbitt, eddie arnold, marty robbins, willie nelson, john anderson, tanya tucker ect.
plz tell me no one else is brainwashed by this popular tween buble gum pop style music and new country that sounds like pop but with a fiddle, and rock that just sucks and lacks guitar solos...

The reason for this fad is that the majority of people are followers. They just listen to what the "cool kids" listen to. It all starts with the young kids. I'm goddamn lucky I broke off early.
I can't say I hate new music, but the 'mainstream' music is the shit that's terrible. I listen to practically everything except for country, pop, hip hop, and the like. That includes mainstream.
Dubstep, house, electronica, indie, reggae, rock, and some other similar genres are what I listen to, though that isn't everything. People need to stop following fads, and find some shit thenselves
Pathetic.
too true. Many people listen to classics, but again, they were new and overlistened to at one point.
However, I think the older mainstream was better. I can sound the same as justin beiber if I used auto tune, or had some randon person write my music (though I'm sure mNy old popular bands had someone wrote their music).
Let me rephrase...all new music is not bad...all new music from THIS generation is bad.
It's a bad alternative, but I'm with you, things have definitely gone downhill in the music area of the world.
On the other hand, evetually people have to start using old ideas, because there's simply so much music out there, that's getting harder and harder to be original. But still, that shouldn't stop them.
New music is shitty repetitive in lyrics and tone, with no instruments but synth drums and songs where people flaunt their bodies and autotune their shitty voice.
arctic monkeys
MGMT
not new at all but i noticed RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS were not on your list and John Fruciante is up there as one of the top guitarists ever.
