So, do you always argue your point by insulting people? How is that working for you? Ya know, the not establishing a real point, just getting angry and rambling. Is that making you feel better? Got it off your chest? You wanna, you know, actually discuss and share opinions now? Instead of trying to get under my skin because you don't like my opinions? Oh wait, you probably have more spitting words to contribute first. Please, continue. We'll get to discussing matters when you're finished. Unless getting angry is what you were aiming for- in that case we'll just finish this up and be on our way.
No, I get it, you're upset with the direction the History Channel has gone since about at least a decade ago. It's been a decade, get used to it. Thyey've made several sister channels that accomodate your wants and needs, so watch those.
I've made several valid points, and also included that the History and Discovery channels have diversified, to no avail. So then comes exasperation. Sorry, it's a natural thing that hapens when someone just doesn't get it.
They have an obligation to stockholders to make money, so that's what they will do. Like I said, watch the fucking Military Channel, Military History, Bio channel, H2, etc, there's hardly a lack of options. That's just how it is and has been for a decade now so why is this new to you?
I could see your point if there was no other options but there's actually so many more and better options now than before so what's the complaint?
I don't care what the History Channel does. I am just stating they are no longer sticking to their own topic. Regardless of how useful or important other topics are, they aren't historical. I happen to take a liking to some of their programs such as Swamp People, I just think it'f be more relevant towards an other channel. It doesn't bother me that they're on said channel, I'm simply stating it's irrelevance to that particular channel. I would never want for them to be cancelled altogether, they're informative and important. I never had a complaint, I was just engaging discussion.
OK well as I said, it's a lot about money, they have obligations to stockholders to make money. What can ya do? It's a legal obligation they have and obviously the 'recent history' and history in the making is more popular than the other stuff. Plus, it's not useless, in time it will be quite useful. Just think ahead, and think how you will feel as being part of that generation or era....you probably don't have kids and are probably young, so as an older person with kids I can't express enough to you how important it really is.
I guess you may compare it to a news network...every one wants that big story....but in 10, 30, 50, years, who will remember or care? You never know, because you can't predict the future. YOu never know which one of those programs may be the major decider in how history was recorded, or how powerful it may be in time. But it's all there on tape and at least you can say 'hey I lived through that' to your kids. And tell them how it really was, too.
It's obvious the History Channel has diversified in the past decade to accommodate various special interests so go watch those then.
Do you live under a fucking rock?
