You are all wrong. Poster, you do not have ADD like idiots and greedy doctors would have you believe. You are just Right Brain Dominant. I too, am Right Brain Dominant.
Please, please! Google it! you will feel so much better without the drugs they will try to get you addicted to!!! I am 20, and was addicted to the Ritalin the doctor gave me for almost 9 years... I finally broke the habit, and use marijuana to help me eat better, (The 9 years of ritilin (AN APPETITE SUPPRESSANT) made me HATE eating, so now I must use illegal drugs to get my appetite back. DO NOT SEE A DOCTOR. You should talk to your parents and tell them that you need to go to a school that teaches a different curriculum. Trust me, school will be VERY hard on you. Albert Einstein was also incredibly right brained, as was Ghandi, Jesus, Buddha and many others. NONE OF THEM DID WELL IN SCHOOL. NONE OF THEM RESPECTED AUTHORITY. Be happy for who you are, my friend. :)

Oh my goodness. That sounds like me. I'm scared. Is it really OCD' I've always wondered if I've had it because I'd end up scratching my head for hours although it's not itchy. or I'd stare into space even though I'm supposed to be doing hmwk. Or I'd look in the mirror for an hour trying to figure out how to fix these imperfections.

Now I'm scared. I try to study with friends for big tests/exams so that I can focus. Apparently, this only happens when I'm alone.

P.S. I don't know if meds can fix this because I'm the type of person who thinks that meds for emotional/problems relating to mental health would only make your physical health worse. Don't take my advice though because I could be absolutely wrong. Yes. Actually, I'd rather talk to a therapist rather than a doctor because they're more specialized in this area.

P.P.S. I think it's just OCD or you have a lot on your mind or you're really tired because when others are talking to me, it takes me a while to truly focus and absorb what they're saying. I blank out alot when I'm bored.

little things like that happen to me all the time
if you dont want little things controlling your life you have to stop whenever you feel the urge to do something
and yeah that sometimes causes anxiety...
in the long run its for the best

and if you smoke weed/pop pills id stop.

I looked up ADHD (serious stuff), i also looked up all related conditions and some aspects are similar to my problems, Its scary like i might have many conditions. But this could be simple paranoia.

If not, I agree with gizzie56, see a doctor about it. it could turn out to be nothin, but you won't lose anything by just checkin it out :)

It sounds to me like you might have ADHD something that can be treated with medication you should tell your doctor about this.
