I have the real urge to shave my head completely bald. IIN?

I have medium sized hair. My friend and I agreed to do it for cancer to show people that everyone is beautiful. I REALLY want to do it but don't know if I should....

Hair grows back! And it's for a good cause- go for it.
I was thinking of doing the same thing, charity can benefit from the money raised and someone with cancer or alopecia would recieve a wig made from my hair donation. And partially because my hair gives me the shits because it's so long, thick and un tameable haha! I always wanted to do the shave for cancer thing at school but my principal actually disallowed it because I'm female.

I am sure it's illegal or unconstitutional for your principal to not allow you to shave your head.

Not long ago a girl in the United States dyed her hair pink with the permission of her parents. The school sent her home saying that it wasn't acceptable.

The parents successfully sued the school and she was allowed to have pink hair. I don't think your scenario is much different. Though the law may be different if you don't live in the United States.

I'm in Australia, but I'm sure if I wanted to pursue anything further I would have been dealt justice. She told me not to be ridiculous, it was a bit of a slap in the face!

If it's for a good cause go for it (: I think that's really brave of you! I'd do it if I wasnt surrounded by idiots that would make fun of me :/ & that's shallow I know.

One thing I forgot to mention; if your hair is in good condition you can donate it to a charity that makes wigs for cancer patients! Talk about killing two birds with one stone. :} So if you or your friend has long hair it would be I good idea to donate it.

I shaved my head once - it felt awesome. My mohawk was too much hard work, so I shaved it off.
