First things first: does he even know you have an attraction to other guys? Making a pass at him is NOT the way to let him know.

Try to talk to him about sex and see how he feels. If he acts really homophobic, you're screwed because even if he did anything with you he'd probably feel bad about it after and it might ruin your friendship. Well I felt this need a several time when I was a teenager. I felt it when I used to have fun or do crazy things with a guy I really like (not specially a best friend). I felt it even when a guy made something so awesome for me. And the thing that comes in my mind while feeling this is this :

No!! The thing to do is to ask his friend if he ever felt that too. If he's his best friend I don't think they hide a lot of things to each other. True best friends had at least seen each other naked and even had a shower… so. I know it can be hard because I never did it. But according to the percent here, I think it's safe to talk with his best friend about that, I'm sure it would turn in big laughs… well if it was me that's how it would be ^^
