No not normal at your age. Its nice to have something to remember her by but not to sleep with especially after all this time I suggest you grow up

I basically agree with cabinet - keep it to remember her, but don't sleep with it.

If you want to be normal for a guy your age, either

a)sleep by yourself

b)sleep with one or more girls or

c)sleep with a jizz-encrusted picture of a naked girl.

any of those choices would be more normal than your current situation.

its not that abnormal, but you have to overcome it.

aw that's really sad. I mean it's kinda weird you still sleep with it, but it's a sad story. everyone copes differently.

It's a strong reaction, but better you are highly sensitive than grossly insensitive. I suspect when you have a girl to sleep with you will be able to have the dog a little further away. When you find someone you love as much as your first girl, it maybe the dog will become a treasure but not a need.

I'd do the same thing so yeah I think it's normal

it's understandable considering the circumstance behind it, if i had a friend who did that and for that reason, i would feel sympathy for him, but my respect for him would remain the same

look mate im 19 i have a teddy my gf gave me 3 years ago and i slept with it ever since and i cant sleep with out it atall and my gf's fine
so dont try to stop sleeping with that dog
it keeps her memory alive keeps you thinking of her
its a good thing you have her and you sleep with it

imagin what that girl will think when shes looking down on you and your not lieing with the dog?

Well I'm a girl... and i sleep with a pillow that my mom gave me when i was little (she died when i was 15) I'm 20 now and i can't give it up...nor do i want to try... i think it's important that if it's what makes you comofortable... you do it... just make sure whoever else you decide to be with understands the whole thing. I personally think that's beyond admirable and I would accept that. My dad still wears his wedding band and I would say that sleeping with that stuffed dog is along the same lines...

It's not a scyco thing, and if it makes you comfortable, and it reminds you of her, it's ok. Kind of sweet, too =)

Thats normal, especially if she meant alot to you. Everyone does take it differently so don't worry about I'd be doing the same thing.

Does anyone think that THIS is normal?!

Its actually pretty normal... due to several reasons...

1: Many people grow attatched to things that were given to them by someone who died after giving it to them. In your case its the Dog.
2: Your mind remembers the Scent of your Girlfriend and recognises it on the Dog, its basically a Mark.
3: Your mind acts as if holding the dog close is like holding your girlfriend close.

My advice would be to not try and grow out of it... many people would say its childish and you act like a kid... in actual fact... you dont... its a natural reaction to an object... Your girlfriend was important to you, shes gone, the only thing remaining is a grave and the stuffed dog... keep it, and dont forget her..
