The banana peppers I eat are the sliced ones, like they have at my job. I steal them all the time, hehe. The popcorn has to be kind of round in order for me to swallow it. I know I'm cooky.

i had a friend, 28 years old died 2 years ago from choking to death. he was showing off to his buddies at work how fast he could eat by basically swallowing his food whole.

I think you are a really good person-I've read your posts and comments for many months now- and I would hate to see something stupid happen to you.

lots of people don't realize how easy it is to choke to death, even on small items. they don't realize how fast you can die, and how the Heimlich maneuver often fails to save the victim or else can't be performed properly.

I could go into the details of my friend's death, but I'll spare you the details. I'll just say that it made me aware of facts about choking that i didn't know before.

All I can say is: Ouch! to some of those like the Goldfish crackers and Banana Peppers! LoL. Sounds like it hurts and it's dangerous. Ehh I wouldn't advise doing it lol..but whatever works for you I guess :P

Nope doesn't hurt at all. The goldfish have to be puffy though, and not flat. The banana peppers are rings so they don't hurt either.

HELL NO!!! haha. yea I ate a habanero once in middle school at lunch, this kid dared me to eat one. I remember beating my hands on the table for 30 minutes, it was awful, and the burning lasted all day.

Aww that had to of sucked! Yeah, I've had an experience with habaneros once before as well. I was a kid, in middle school..so around yer age when you tried a pepper. So yeah, my dad told me sister, my friend and I that habaneros were "not that bad" and "they taste good" LOL. So we're like ok, let's have some! So, he cuts one up, gives one to me, my friend and sister. So, we start eating them and all of a suddenly we looked at each other like "Help, I'm gonna die here!" lol. And we started running around, and eventually made it into the house to look for some water and bread to stop the heat lol. It was ridiculous, the pain lasted for the whole day lol, and the water and bread did like nothing to stop the burning. I think I got the worst of it though, because my dad gave me the tip of the pepper, which, of course, is the worst part lol.

I think the seeds are killer too.

to answer your original question it is normal to swallow thing that are small enough hole, but some of the larger items you listed (apart from not knowing what any of them are) i would recomend you take caution when swallowing.

and about the habaneros peppers (i have no idea what they are, from australia here), but with all peppers the seeds sectrete a chemical that reacts with the receptors on the tounge and throat and indicates heat (thus the burning sensation, drinking milk is best cure)

Actually thid can have harmfull effects over time Chewing it the start of the digestive process so swallowing things whole will over time damage you stomach and lead to ulcers or tears in your intestines

I don't chew pasta. It feels stupid. I mean it's aready soft and it's so easy to suck in and swallow it whole. Only problem is I have bite the end of it or I will gag (or choke) on it. Be carful have swallowed jolly ranchers (and jewery beads) before and had to cough them up or I could of choked. It's normal as far as I'm conserned.

Well don't swallow lollipops(lol) because from my personal experience I accidentally swallowed one and literally choked MY life for 30 to 40 Seconds. I panicked made things worse and i try to drink water it choked me even more. After went threw throat pain for 2 weeks before it healed 100%. if u have Death Wish ya go on GOOD LUCK>>>

ur pretty weird. just be careful cus it can be dangerous. Always have someone near you at all times to give you the himlich. But they have to be couragous because some people, when it comes down to it, are too emberassed to give others the himlich because it looks funny.

Hm, well personally when i accidently swallow food whole, i get this pain in my stomach where i have to throw it up or it will keep hurting. But for you, I don't think it's normal. Your stomach needs to digest little by little. When you're swallowing foods whole, you are just tearing up your stomach. And the things that your stomach digest, eventually end up in a little sack in your stomach(forgive me, I forgot what it was called) and when it gets too big, it will eventually explode causing severe pain and forcing you to get an Appendicectomy which is when you have to get your Appendix removed. And yes, it is very fatal. Do I think this is normal? Hm, in some ways, yes. Other ways, no. Maybe you should see a doctor for more info.

Hahaha, that is just funny. I swallow foods too. It definitely feels weird, but I don't plan on swallowing anything to big. I prefer pasta. I could just be lazy, screw the chewing and just stuff it down....
