I have been madly in love with a guy from my school since the first time I saw him. He tends to ignor me and think I am really weird, but he is just a jerk that way. I try to tell myself that I dont like him, but my feelings for him have never really gone away. Well, anyways, yesterday in gym class we had to run for 15 minutes and the teacher divided us up into 2 groups to run in. My best friend and the guy I really like were in a group together. They ran together too. As I watched them run together tears filled my eyes and I saw in a corner and cried. My best friend knows just how much I am in love with him and she does those kind of things all of the time. And when it was my time to run, everytime I ran by them, she was playing with his shoes and all of this just made me really sad. I feel like my best friend doesnt care about me anymore. I was just crushed. Is it normal for friends to act this way?
You need to take some responsibility for yourself. Crushing over this guy who ignores and doesn't like you - well - you could have a bit more self respect don't you think?
Find another person to like - he sounds like a doofus to me - it'll hurt but you'll feel so much better for it.
Have you asked your friend why she's doing this? Talking is always the best way to sort out your issues. I know this sounds really strange but she may not know she's doing it. If she does realise she's doing it, this is a cry for help or she is a spiteful little madam and she isn't worth the trouble.
Take care x
Sorry to break it to you. but you aren't.
If he ignors you and doesn't talk to you, then you really know nothing about him therefore you are only in love with him by his looks and the things you hear. Which isn't real love at all.
Second, even though your immaturity is funny, your friend is a bitch. What kind of friend does that to you? a BAD friend and bad friend shouldn't be have.
When your best friend has sex with your ex of two years that you are still in love with, then post a story.
Drop the friend, drop the crush, and start living life.
In any case she is not a person I would want in my life. It would be healthy for you to choose to no longer be friends with her. That would show self-respect. If you stay friends with her it shows very low self-esteem.
You should just stop talking to her, hang out with your other friends or make new friends, and if she asks you why, act like nothing happened... it doesn't bother you.
Or you can tell her that you choose not to have friends who treat you like dirt - by flirting with the guy you really, really like right in front of you. If she likes him, she should have talked to you first.
Nonetheless, you can't control her or change her, you can only control your own reaction to the situation. BTW don't use the term "madly in love" in vain. It's just a crush, and it's probably unhealthy for you to have such a huge crush on a guy who treats you like shit anyway. I guarantee you there's a nice guy who has a big crush on you right under your nose, and you probably ignore him.
Those guys were jerks, they're the same jerks like the guy you have a crush on. Only you won't realize it until a few years from now. Get over him.
The thing about girls is, girls are insecure little sluts who need attention and validation (I should know, I am one). You may be pretty or "cute", and if you're pretty that makes her insecure, which makes her feel bad, which means, if he picks her over you,
SHE must be prettier than YOU.
