IS that normal? It's not to say that I've never had girlfriends, it's just that they've always been the ones to ask me out.

I've had six girlfriends so far, and they don't last very long (about a week is average, the two exceptions to this being my first one lasting two years and my most recent being six months and counting). I'm not atrociously ugly, and evidently I am sort of popular with women if they are asking me out, but I've asked out a lot of women (dozens) and all I've gotten is a lot of rejection from anyone I've been initially interested in for any period of time. Why is this? My real question though is:

Is it normal to be rejected by the people you want but get hit on by the people you don't?
Do you think it's normal?

Well, I guess it's just chance. Good luck anyway (:
How do you approach asking them out? Think about what creates attraction and do that. Watch the James Bond movies, Top gun and especially The Count of Monte Cristo. Visualize yourself as these characters. Be a man and not a wuss. Be confident funny but not goofy. Learn to monitor how you present yourself in real time. Good luck.

It's me again (Original Poster). I don't really have much of an approach- I try to be myself. I'm pretty chill, but I've tried almost everything. I'm not comparing myself to a movie actor, I'm just saying that I have little trouble getting the sort of women I'm attracted to. I don't get nervous and lose my breath, nor do I get any less verbose. I man up and say "I think I'm developing feelings for you." I'm good friends with most of my crushes, so it's fairly easy to talk to them about it. The problem I have isn't my coming out about my feelings- or at least it wasn't. Now it is a small problem in that I've been shot down so many times that I'm more likely to just wait on them until they ask ME out because that seems to have a higher success rate. Is there anything wrong with that?
Go after what you want and don't worry about your success rate. Don't talk about your feelings. How does that create attraction? You can't turn friendship into romance. It usually doesn't work.
No, it's totally okay man, i mean it's not like you don't get women at all, and if your not the ones you want, try harder.

but that's the point- that hurts my success rate. Quite frustrating!
