Ok, I am going to qualify my response as to this being normal from two perspectives.
1. Among Adult Babies this is a pretty common theme so I would say it is normal, for an Adult Baby.
2. We can also look at this from the perspective of normal society. To do this I would break things down so we are looking at what might really be happening here. As a human it is completely normal to want and need love, acceptance, companionship and especially nurture. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this as it is our nature. Some of the things that are tied to nurture for many people include diapers, other baby things, babyhood in general and even day care. So when we are reminded of what these things were like it is very common to have a strong desire to have them back (even though there might be a shame or gross factor for some).
One thing to remember is that it is not at all uncommon for a person to regress, or want to regress when there are factors that make life more difficult. This is often the case in children when subjected to trauma, loss, etc. Adults can go through the same thing. The only thing is that once an older child or adult is reattached to something from early childhood it is pretty common for that attachment to remain permanent.
So yea, this is pretty normal although one should use discretion when playing out such a fantasy.
There are Daycare services that cater specifically to Adult Babies. Even if you do not identify as such this is what you want to look for. There are not a lot of them but they are out there.
