Does anyone else feel like that? I've felt like that ever since I began having very vivid dreams at primary school age. I feel so many emotions in those dreams and although it can be anything from terrifying or blissful in my dreams, I sometimes wake up sad that I couldn't stay longer. It's like there's a whole world in there.

I don't feel lonely in my dreams, because I meet people and I go places that I couldn't go to in real life. I have adventures - the sort of adventures that you could only...well, dream about of course. It can be depressing. I haven't been remembering my dreams as well I used to and it's really getting me down.

I know exactly how you feel. Sometimes I sleep ten, eleven or more hours and when I wake up I get sad , and I feel lost , it is like I was dead for a period of my life. When I wake up I think " What happened? Where am I ? What I was supposed to do before sleeping? There are moments that I use to be afraid if one day I could not discern what was real and what was dream in my life...

This actually made me cry. I had a dream about 2 years ago and every night since then I try to have that same dream over and over again.... but I can't seem to dream it again. That dream was the only time I was scared, alone, happy and in love at the same time. The girl I was with was amazing but I never got to see her face.... only heard her voice. I need that love I felt that night. I'd do almost anything to live in that dream for the rest of my life or to find that girl. If only dreams came true....

Yeah, I know. I've spent a lot of my time trying to chase those feelings that I've only ever experienced in my dreams. They can be intense, but nothing compares to the real thing, which can be different to how you imagined, but that isn't bad. Life can be full of all that you described - fear, loneliness, happiness, love - but you have to be open to it. A lot can happen in a short period of time I've discovered. Good luck with everything SwanRage.

Dreams are a great place to get lost in an escape almost and one of the places you will find most people.

I understand how you feel completely...in my dreams Im happy. Im in beautiful worlds where I can feel truly free. I wish I could stay longer in that world. Ive come to hate being awake and I only feel at peace in my dreams. Everyday I wake up aswell in tears and everyday I try so hard to to remember that place. And to remember how it felt to be with her...happy.

Aww :( it's the freedom. I think your imagination feels joy that it can breathe too hah..

Your comment made me sad though. I hope you can find a way to be happy in another way; not just trying to remember.

I'm not sure if it's normal but I constantly wish I could be in a dream coma so that I could dream to what it seems like forever.

this is totally normal. In this situation, dreams are a way of escaping life in the real world. We all have dreams every night, but more often than less, we cannot remember what those dreams are about. However once in a while, we have a dream that we remember. any Disney fan with recognize this quotation: "A dream is a wish your heart makes when you're fast asleep. In dreams you will lose your heartache, whatever you wish for will be...No matter how you keep on dreaming, if you just keep believing, the dream that [you] wish will come true".
