IIN I think that what happened in Serenity might happen in real life?

Because of all the medicines they prescribe. It seems like the natural progression. People don't know how wrong all these goddamn pills are. (Mostly neurotypical conspiracy theorists)

I love that movie and the television series (Firefly) - it's one of my all-time favourites. I don't think pharmaceuticals will realistically get that out of control. We won't have to worry about Reavers any time soon, I don't think.

It's normal, a lot of these people take these prescription drugs right when they leave the testing facilities, although they don't know the full range of side effects or how it will affect them. Hell, most of the people that I know that take prescription meds don't even bother to read the information packet that comes with them.

I don't think that that will happen anytime soon but I am interested in seeing how the Ritalin generation pans out to see if there are any long term side-effects of years of amphetamine use.
