She's beautiful, a bit strange (in a good way) and funny but she's a Christian and I'm an Atheist and it really annoys me sometimes because of some of the strange things she says. It would be fine if she just worshipped God but she says things like "I know God because he's presented himself to me" or "I've met Jesus".

If she believes she's actually met Jesus, maybe you could adjust her medication?

Someone who talks excessively about something that you don't agree with is bound to put you off.

Hiya,

Run in the other direction. Now. I love hearing an old bluesman growling out a religious song, but I really wouldn't want somebody telling me what she tells you either. It really doesn't sound like she's all that well to me.

I think if you truly love someone nothing would put you off them, but then I’m very old-fashioned. If you already disagree on this before you're even with each other, it doesn't look good.

Tell her she is lying. If she asks how you know, tell her that you received a message directly from the source.

Dont let something like this come between you!

To each his/her own.

I could see where you might struggle in the relationship. Especially looking into the future... marriage and everything. She'll probably wanna marry in a church or something, and you'll be like "no way!!". But if you really feel something for this girl, why allow anything to get in between? If you're about to let something as small as kooky comments that she makes, be a barrier to what could be a great relationship, than don't even bother.

There is nothing wrong with religion, but to that extreme it would put me off too!

u should just be honest. tell her ur views nd say that she's terrific, but u wont pretend to be so into religion, and gice her the chance to leave. doing that will show her ur strong enough and willing to move on, and that will make her want u more. plus if she stays, she'll respect u.

I don't really have a problem with religion unless the person is taking it to the extreme. I don't think it's a good idea to stay with her. Eventually, you might end up fighting over your religious stances. But at least she isn't trying to guilt trip you into converting, but her family might if they meet you:/

Just be honest with her and make religion a 'forbidden topic' zone.

religion makes people senile when they get older

I'm a christian and she is not crazy for talking about God, but if you want to pursue a relationship in the future it might not happen because christians cannot be unequally yoked with unbelievers.

I don't know. I'm an atheist and if a guy is religious it's totally cool but not something I can see myself living with so intimately.
The idea of religion is not something I really agree with, and my beliefs are what make me who i am. If who I am fundamentally rejects who you are, how can it work?
Then again, I give my beliefs a lot of importance. You have to see how important they are to you.

I have the same problem. I'm really into this guy, but I'm afraid that our religious differences would keep us apart -- he's Christian and gives sermons in churches, I'm Atheist. Your girl sounds extreme, though, might be best to let her go.
