By the way, one of the main parts to this scientific endeavor is to hopefully find facts of a previous life form living there. How the hell is that going to work out with the religious concept, that all 'god's' life was placed on Earth? Religious people are NOT interested in advancing humankind, and possibly even saving humans from inevitable extinction. Religious people should be laughed at for the nonsense they 'believe'.
How do you stop someone's feelings of believing in this religious rubbish?

I wonder as a father myself, what 'father' of all mankind would bestow onto his own child an eternity of fire for just not believing in him? (there are also a multitude of other blasphemous actions and 'sins' that could get you into hell as well)
I mean I know that 'teenagers' can drive parents mad at times. And certainly there are many crimes that place people in jail for life. But what sick low life could ever send their own child from committing a finite sin (a bad thing that obviously didn't last forever) to an everlasting burning hellfire?
Just that part itself, shows me that the 'Christian God' (assuming for argument's sake that he's real, which is obviously ridiculous) is the most immoral and horrible entity that ever existed. In actual fact, if humans could ever get enough power they really should kill it. That way there would be nothing to fear (especially true to good caring people who don't believe in the crazy notion of a god).
Yes the 'burning' issue, stands as one of the most reasonable reasons why humans should NOT praise god.

I'm a Buddhist, but took the precepts only recently. Which means, you don't really have to make it official to start practicing and learning the path. Learning how to meditate right would be a good start :)
