So, I feel like the girls whom I have been friends with have been flirting with me ever since they found out about my new girlfriend. Some of the girls weren't good friends with me, but I have tried to go for them a while back, but ever since they found out about my fresh relationship, I feel like they started flirting with me. I don't want anything to do with them, but is that what some girls do to guys who are in a relationship?
I'm 21, and I've been single for a while and I've hit on girls here and there, but I've never gotten girls flirting at this magnitude.... I mean WHAT THA FUCK?
Is it because I stopped flirting with them?
But is it normal?

The reason I asked the question is because their attitudes were noticeable. I wasn't sure if they had bad intentions towards my fresh relationship or not. That's why I asked. Now I know it's subconscious behavior and of course I won't hold that against them at any time.
Do not mistake this for real attraction, because if they wanted you they would have pursued it before... Women just get this competive need to "prove they can" have you, if they wanted... It is the same as how guys will act macho and fight over nothing... just to prove they are "alpha" or superior.
It is an ego boost... and most enjoy a good competive challenge/game.
