IIN that my retired kindergarten teacher still remembers her students?

I remember back in the fourth grade when my teacher was out sick and then they brought a sub for her. Turned out the sub was my former kindergarten teacher and since she had most of the students in my class before, she remembered everyone's name and could remember some details when we were still kindergarten.

I went to an open evening at my daughters school. One of her teachers taught me over 20 years ago and remembered me, yet she couldn't remember my daughters name
Who she taught a few hours before on the same day. (to be fair she had only had that class a few times) I don't know if this is a good or bad thing.......

Usually when teachers remember you its because you caused them so much aggravation. Like I did.
