Women are clingy as hell. When I talk to gfs on phone from work, present gf or past, I can hear the anger in the voice, when I say I have to get back to work.

For her to get mad because you have work once a week sounds like she has control issues. And for her to question your relationship just for that maybe you might want to think if you should even be in a serious relationship with someone like that

Omg, she needs to realise you're working to make money! I hate people who get mad at their partner for working "too much." WTF? Imagine when there's no work left, and you're unemployed without any money. Now that would suck. So I say work while you're young, and make as much money as you can 'cause you never know when it will all be gone someday.

She is just scared to lose you. She just wants more time with you. Explain to her that their isn't another woman at work. Doesn't she also have a life of her own? Funny thing is once you graduate and get your degree she'll probably be complaining about the exact opposite. But I guess that shows you she isn't a gold digger.

My girlfriend is clingy but she encourages me to work (and she also does before someone pulls the gold digger move), explain to your girlfriend that if she wants you to quit the 9 hour shift you will under the condition she gets off of her lazy ass and gets to work as well, what she's doing to you and your relationship is unhealthy and it'll end up killing you inside, I'd rather spend time with my loved on more than work, we all would, but we just can't, it isn't how it works.
