IIN to like to bite and eat your nails and skin around your nails??

I know its a nasty bad habit but im a nervous nail bitter which i then like to eat my nails my cuticles and the skin around my nails is this normail??

biting nails is a normal habit, but if you eat them that's gross and not normal.

it's normal but gee it ruins yr nails. ps don't do it in public/ put something foul tasting on them

yeah i chew the skin around my nails when i am stressed and it gets to the point of bleeding and i have to put band-aids on my fingers to stop chewing them. its a really bad habbit but i cant stop.

i think michael jackson did this too. thats why he always had em taped up so he couldnt get to them or show people what he was doing. also in an interview with rock hudsons wife on larry king she briefly said he had an obsession to picking the skin/cuticles. she kept it brief but i knew what she was talking about. the thumbs are my favorite. most juicy skin on any finger is my thumbs. love to pinch it with my opposite hands fingernails then finish it off with a bite from my teeth. mmm mm. gonna pick some now! here i thought i was kinda alone but we are out there! whats great is i can do my thumb and from others looking it appears that im biting my nails. i dont bite nails just the skin.

I do the same thing at it get at times. Its a nervous tick and from what I've heard it can be construed as a form or self mutilation depending on the severity.

i love doing this. alot of people say that It doesnt look disgusting when I do it.

its as contagious as a yawn! :)

anyways... who reaslly cares???!!! I love eating my scabs :) yummmy!!! and drinking my blood! :)

It's seriously not a big deal. I do the same thing, and it's not gross if you wash your hands with soap after using the bathroom and everything. Whatever.

I do it too, just automatically, I don't even realise I'm doing it. I wish I could stop, but it's so hard!
