The thing is, men are most likely argumenting more rational without caring about emotions to give advices fitting to the situation... but woman actually care about emotions as well and therefor give different advices... Hope you can understand my comment because I can't =P
I get what you're saying :) I think some guys get involved in discussions because they want to show off, rather than because they genuinely care about the question. I'm sure some girls do this too. But I think some guys do "actually care about emotions" as well.
