Everything seemed to be fine with my boyfriend... I loved him more than ever... and according to him, it was the same from his side...
However... he told me once that he thought we were so close that we could finally take our relationship to the next level: an open relationship.
Of course I reacted bad... he told me I should be more openminded... I told him that if he thinks like that it means he doesnt love me... he said I was too narrow minded.
So... is it normal? can 2 people have an open relationship and still claim to love each other like no one?

Now, it's possible he's being a dick. It's also entirely possible that he's polyamorous, and there's nothing wrong with that. The only reason humans do the "mate for life" thing is because of morals instilled by fear in the dark ages when the catholic church made the law, but we are biologically more similar to animals that do have multiple partners. (dolphins and monkeys for example)
I'm in an open relationship. Its also the most stable, caring relationship I've ever been in with a guy I know I'm probably gonna end up marrying. But I made the call to make it open because I feel people need to have that freedom... Dating someone doesn't imply ownership, and everyone seems to think they have this huge claim on their significant others person. No one even questions if it's right to control someone that much...
That's messed up, I'd tell him off. He doesn't love you, he's just saying that to try and keep you with him while he plays you.
