Thats not why the divorce rate is so high at all, the way culture and society is now is the main reason. Back in the day divorce was looked down upon so people were hesitant, now it's almost encouraged. You need only look at the change in times to understand that issue. Most people know this to be the reason, i'm surprised you didn't realise.
And everyone hiding from relationships isn't going to help things, just postpone them.
To think at only 19 that you're somehow more intelligent and mature than everyone else in a whole city so you can't date any of them is the stupidest thing i've ever heard, or one of the stupidest things atleast.
It's totally unrealistic no matter where you live, and more than a little naive to believe that it isn't.
I mean does this person really think no woman in his city is good enough for him? It's laughable.
It would be arrogant to assume that not a single woman in a whole city would not be good enough, but I read it as the OP is just choosing to stay single until he is also mature and ready enough for a serious relationship, no 19 yr old I ever met had any clue or understanding what went into marriage. I still dont, and I am 32.
Saying a changing of the times paints a broad brush stroke, lets narrow it down by saying many people back in a day just didnt recognize divorce AT ALL as an option. Now if you break a glass your spouse calls a divorce lawyer for a consultation. That coupled with the fact that many kids, yes you can still be a kid at 30 I am a good example, have no clue what they are getting into regarding marriage and get carried away in the whole planning of the "perfect fairytale wedding" as if that nonsense makes a difference in how successful the marriage will be. Then when the wedding is over (it only lasts a day) many of them sit back and say "wow what the hell did I just do"
People think real life is like romantic comedies today. Nobody wants to work in being married.

He never said that at all, he only said they need to be mature enough for him. And just look at his reply to me, he's deluded.
He's stupid and arrogant, seems to be a trait among generation Z. They're a big bunch of babies.
But its slim pickings.
