I'm addicted to my computer- is this normal?

maybe what's happening is that the real world is day by day less attractive and the net gives a false, but perceptible, sense of security and control over things, that is lacking every moment more in the reality?

Since I was 5 I always had a computer when I was 5 I was learning to program when I eventually hit my teens 13 I was hooked I never had much of a social life well until I was 15 but during my time online over the years I have learnt alot of programming languages 13 and I can code web pages in any language. It isn't a bad thing but it is normal for alot of people but take my advice before you regret what your doing now go out and go drinking etc. because I regret not doing alot of things and now it is all catching up with me it depresses me but we all move on in our own time so will you.

I remember when my msn list was full and my aim list was full now I got hardly any people on it so hopfully yout time will come aswell if not do what I do make hacks for mmorpg's and multiplayer games and sell them on for money =)

Not normal....Go out for walks whenever possible...call people on phone and talk....this will cure the addiction

i have no knowlege at all about programming and i don't know what hacks for mmorpg's means, or anything for multiplayer games.
i just purchased my computer cause i liked chatting on my mom's computer, and i thought i'd get one of my own.
all i do is chat on msn, facebook or icq chat.
or google stuff if i have a question or want information about something.
or i check out my messages on dating sites i have no intention answering anyways.
i know this is utterly useless, but i do it anyways.
oh and i don't drink lol.

look at what your doing facebook and msn. always typing stuff down thinkking about stuff blogging some of these skills can come to good use in life just find out how there will be a way

I'm addicted to computers...
I've used it since I was,five.
I use yahoo messanger,it's addicting but drama alot!
I get up sometimes,to get a drink,or eat..
& sometimes (rarely) I go out,I always tend to have my computer...
If not I have to be on mobile on my cell phone.
But yes,it's normal.

I like the internet, but I do have friends and what not.

I love the computer. I'm homeschooled so it can be quite different for me, because I currently only have online friends :) once I'm back in a public place the chicks will be all-over me again. :P so like as long as you have the capability to work etc. then you have nothing to worry about :)

internet addiction is far more common than you think its actually determined to be compulsive behavior by doctors or scientists im not really too sure but yes your addiction is normal but not healthy i am the same exact way just dont follow the same path im taking ok?

like me, you just forgot how it is to be with people and just hang out. if you go out with some friends or possibly get friends, you'll loose the addiction quick : ) promise

Aren't we all! What do u think i, or anyone else is doing here? I'm not sure whether or not i regret spending this much time online though. So addicting, i should be sleeping right now but I'm here instead, with a million tabs open!! at least it's entertaining.
