So, I've been raised in a strictly religious home. I like to go partying, drinking, smoking, and have sex with friends. My parents know I don't give a shit about my church (LDS/Mormon), but they don't really know the full extent of my "bad-habits." At school, it seems like 80% of the kids smoke weed. And probably the same amount like to go get wasted and literally fuck around. My parents, being as religious as they are, always comment on how immoral the up-and-coming generations are.
I was just thinking about morals. When I think of morals, I always thought of murders, crimes, etc. To me, getting drunk, getting high, or having sex with friends isn't really any sort of moral dilemma. Maybe just not-so-good habits. Yet, my parents call people "Amoral", when they do the same stuff I do. Or even not even as bad as me. Lol. Am I amoral? It seems kinda sad when I think about it, rofl. Are these types of activites normal or immoral? Even if they are normal, they aren't purposely doing harm to another human being. To me, that's more of what morals are about..
I've had this on my mind for the past while, felt like ranting. Thanks, let me know what you guys think! And sorry if the question isn't very clear.

Morals just depend on where your values are. If you're Mormon, you have semi-Christian values, so this stuff would be immoral. But, if you don't have any strong ties to religion, this stuff is normal. It all depends on the individual, I think.
Then again, I'm just trying to sound smart. :D
The important thing is to keep good Ethics, which you have shown. Also very important is to understand which substances can cause you real harm, and to avoid them. In my generation, many of us "got wasted", but you eventually learn to moderate. Ask yourself, do you really enjoy it when you are puking drunk or so high that you feel you have lost control?
