I have twenty cats (as well as various other animals). I've accumulated them over fifteen years. I didn't even care for cats growing up... then my husband insisted on getting a cat and I found something very spiritual about them. We live in a thousand-square-foot apartment with them. Over time, I've nursed and kept sibling kittens and had the high/low point of foster-parenting a momma cat and her six kittens. We got attached to them, and then made up fake people to the humane society that supposedly was adopting them from us when in reality we kept the whole lot of them... all seven of them. We aren't some of those nasty hoarders who never clean their boxes or feed them. We spent over $1000 on one of our cats back at Christmas (and gave up our presents) for one of our cats with liver failure (she survived). Actually, they get better care than we do.
And just think what you are doing to the local wildlife population! I'd be seriously pissed off if I lived anywhere near you. There must be catshit everywhere, and no birds around at all.
They don't come back very often.
And though you probably already know this, I'll remind you -- SPAY AND NEUTER... there's no need to bring more kittens into the world when so many are already homeless.
