Would extorting sex from someone in order to give favors constitute a crime? Since an old friend from high school I know likes to do this to practically everyone they know. Which is why I no longer speak with this person. I just wondering is that a crime in any manner?

I think it would depend on the 'power' being exerted. Wants vs. Needs. It's one thing to 'trade' sex for a cool hoodie you want but it's totally different to be freezing to death and having no choice but to have sex with someone to get them to give you your coat back.

The correct term for this act is called "prostitution". I like to think of it as a game where both becomes the victor. It is illegal except Nevada and a few select countries. Tickets or a few years in jail if caught, slap on the wrists. But sadly, sometimes people are forced into prostitution against their will. It's something in my heart that makes me feel bad for them.

Rape by deception is something that bothers me more though. Being trick into sex is just as wrong to me, like a man breaking into a unexpecting woman's house. Unfortunately this isn't a crime.

Prostitutes offer up sex as a trade, it's not forced out of them when they are not willing.

Sex by deception is in fact legally regarded as rape in many places: eg if the woman was asleep and when she awoke thought it was her husband or boyfriend fucking her.

It's a crime but sadly overlooked and deserve more attention than people give. Rarely cases involving sex by deception will make it to trial. Lucky enough if the culprit gets arrested.

Woman have (sic) been doing it all by themselves for centuries, have they? Nothing to do with men at all?

If it's the man pursuing and not the woman offering its on the man.

Woman have been extorting favours from men in exchange for sex, obviously they could not extort favours from themselves!

yes it's illegal

That's not extortion, that's a trade off. She gives up the booty and in return he does favors for her. It's happening all over, bud.

that's life , Not that long ago when a couple went out on a date the men said for everything that is paying for sex. Realistically women were prostituting themselves in this way and I suppose all the way through history until lately .

I used the word "Extortion" since it means to force something out of someone. As in he forces woman to do sexual things in order to give them favors even if this is never agreed upon. However he expects this trade off.

So somebody does favors for people then rapes them? Expecting somebody to have sex with you is different from forcing them to have sex.

Would it still count as rape if it's fondling?

I think you need to be more specific here. Are the people consenting to sex or not? If he is touching them or having sexual contact and its not consensual, its rape even if he says its a favor.

No, that why I said it was extortion.
