Probably illegal, but that is one of the laws that does not get enforced. Just don't do it at school, and don't do it if you are visiting India.

I guess in Canada itself you don't hear about the hundreds of political or 'porno' prisoners in Canadian jails. It's a major talking point for human rights activists, they're always petitioning foreign governments to put pressure on the Canadian government (or 'Canment' as the media always abbreviate it to when talking about this issue) to release these poor porno prisoners. I feel for them, I really do...
