Where do I even start? Gary from Pokemon was first, and there was Tuxedo Mask from Sailor Moon, and L from Death Note, and Trunks from DBZ, oh, and also Vegeta. Cartoon characters are idealized, and there is so much room for your imagination to fill in their personalities that you don't see in the media...

It's actually more common than you may think. I liked cartoon/anime characters when I was 10-12. I've also seen many similar posts here. One guy likes Rainbow Dash, one girl likes Applejack's brony, one likes Phineas and/or Ferb and one girl here a long time ago was lovesick over 2D from the Gorillaz. So don't feel alone lol
