I actually meant to vote yes, that is normal. He's a teenage boy. As a 26 year old male, I can honestly tell you that way back then, I, and just about every dude I know, has had that one teacher that's "freakin' hot.", or cute, or maybe they just show some cleavage on occasion. That's just the truth. Take it as a compliment. As far as personal problems go, you're almost 30. His problems aren't your concern, you have your own life and no matter how old or young a dude is, a 29 yr old woman ought to have enough experience to know that being nice to a guy who likes you could be considered as leading him on. IGNORE this kids' problems. He's just a horny little shit. These are facts.

I'm the author and I find it offensive. My students are like my children why would I do something or feel such thing about them?

There's a male teacher at my school who's your age and just about every girl flirts with him. I don't really, I just annoy him but he said I'm his favorite student (not in a creepy way). He's the health teacher so his class is really fun and no one, not even him, takes it seriously. So yes, it is normal :)

If you're a hot teacher- yes. I would of loved to bone my art teacher in my high school. It's perfectly normal just be careful because as you said in today's society someone would be very quick to look at it ths wrong way.

Its normal, but be careful...any teacher/student relationships are very scary in todays world. Be careful!!! If he feels strongly & you upset him..he might SAY something happened..etc. I would talk to your superior & tell them JUST in case.

I think it's ok as long as he knows your his teacher not his girlfriend. And I'm really close to my teach were both girls but I babysit for her and we text all the time and it's like she's not even my teacher. But if he trys to kiss you or something I would call his parents in and have a chat. You sound like a good teacher but his personal problems are not yours. And w y'all bein of the opposite sex it will prob be problem. But a guy n my school said he wanted to f the teach Im friends w I told her and she kinda freaked out I know it's not the same thing but I think it's normal for you to be a little concerned.

Pull away from this sooner than later. Don't make the mistake of being too nice and helpful, clouding the teacher-student line. My older sister is a teacher, and many a horny high school boy have had crushes, made jokes, and otherwise engaged her purely teacher/helpful interest, YET, all most wanted was to get into her pants. Some even showed up at her apartment door "with problems" and "needing to talk". When a kid wouldn't leave one time, she knew she had to not be friendly with any of them. True story. Keep this teacher-studen ONLY.

Talk to the principal about it. Let it be known to your colleagues that you are uncomfortable and ask for help or risk your reputation and career.

If the student was female and the teacher male he'd get chastised and downvoted massively.

i hate all my teachers i ever had and they were as ugly as hell but i never ever even thought of being friends with my teacher i always thought a were nasty fat bitches
