I am an 18 year old girl graduated HS in 2009..and 1 month later met a 30 year old man who just ended a 5 year relationship with a woman his age. Him and I have been together 6 months and right away he said he loved me added me to his car ins and asked me to move in with him...He still lives with his parents and is graduating college in May and he currently recieves unemploymet . he is weening off methadone after a 5 year battle with pain pills. I have a full time job and use his car for work cause I dont have my own yet. Do you think this is normal for 30 + guys to date someone my age? Is this my soulmate or am I his? Is he desparate or am I? Is this normal? My whole family is against it. I been living with him for 2 months and I am happy!

the red flags are: 30 and still with parents, past drug problem (doesn't matter that they were prescriptions or not), 30 and still in school with no job, the the biggest: the speed he is moving for you to commit.

The most important comment in your post to me was "I have been living with him for 2 months and I am happy!" I say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Of course, this doesn't mean that your relationship is guaranteed to work. No relationship is guaranteed to work, regardless of your age. Maybe it will fall apart, maybe it won't, but let time tell the tale.
