Is it normal for a girl to love motorcycles?

I am an 18 year old girl and I LOVE crotch rockets, specifically Kawasaki Ninjas. *Drool* But, my friends, whom are girls, say it isn't normal. I'm not manly in anyway, I'm actually very girly, but I love motorcylces. So, I asked my parents if they would mind if I got one for my 21st birthday and they said it was my decision but that it's an odd thing for a girl to want. Why is it weird?

I think it's hot when a chick likes bikes. Especially awesome and fast ones like Kawasaki Ninjas.

I had a Harley Sportster in the mid 90s. Some of the best memories my wife & I made together were riding through the hills on deserted highways.

It's weird simply because bikers are portrayed as testosterone filled men who don't shave and almost always start a bar fight. However, I think that girl riding a motorcycle is rather hot, and I know a lot of guys who would agree. Ultimately you should ignore the biker stereotype and just focus on being free in the open road.

Maybe it's my upbringing or the type of people I hang around with but I find it exceedingly normal. It seems strange to me to think of women disliking motorbikes. And yet, I guess some women must do.
