Hello! I've just been screamed at by my mum who thinks that I'm giving her too little allowance. I'm currently on my school vacation and I'm taking up a part time job earning about 1k per month. I've been giving her $100 from my salary, despite having to take care of my own living expenses.
She complains that it's too little for her and gets pissed when I GET PISSED WITH HER. I don't know, maybe the amount is too little? But do your parents expect you to give them part of your salary from your PART TIME JOB? and is 100 bucks too little?
Maybe because i'm from an Asian family... Filial piety, so they say. You know it actually hurts when I'm actually excited about giving her the money, and yet she shoots me a disapproving look and demands for more... Sigh.

how often did you used to ask her for money to buy toys or lunch at school? who bought your clothes? who paid for your food? who cooked you dinner? who took you shoe shopping? who washed and ironed all of your clothes? who made your bed in the morning?
i could go on..... its just something to think about....
