If his tight hugging makes you uncomfortable, then I think that you should just avoid him till he cools down. I can't say I know any guys who do this, but hormones make us do crazy things.

Its actually quite messed up. But I've experienced the same kind of nonsense that you have with one of my guy friends. I put an end to it, though. Just tell him that you don't like it. If he continues, firmly tell him one last time. If he still continues after that, do everything you can to avoid him. He might then get the picture that you're serious about this.

For a young horny guy, yes it's normal. However, if you don't like it then speak up and if he doesn't stop then it would be sexual harassment. Make sure he knows you're serious. He may think you're totally fine with it and have no idea that it bothers you. But if it doesn't bother you, it could mean he likes you. Or it could mean he just likes being overly flirty with girls/like to mess around. He could want to fool around with you, like friends with benefits. He could think your friendship is comfortable enough to tell you these things but he is crossing the friendship line. But don't be mistaken, he is young. Just because he's crossing the friendship line, doesn't mean he wants to be your boyfriend. Again, he could just be overly comfortable with you and enjoy what he's doing. Or he could want to be friends with benefits. I'd suggest bringing it up. If you really detest it or it makes you feel icky or uncomfortable, say so and in person but not in front of others. If you kind of like it or want to know more or are interested in some fashion, ask about it or "test" the waters by being more flirty back. If it's nerve-racking then you could try it through text to sort of hide the embarrassment. But remember, don't let anyone do anything to you that you don't want to happen and don't accept any treatment from someone that you're not comfortable with. He may be overly hormonal but that doesn't give him the right to do anything to you that you don't want, ok? You just have to learn to say something either way, speak up. And also, you should probably let him know that it's not exactly socially acceptable to do those things to someone unless he knows for sure that they are ok with it. When you're that young and inexperienced, it can be forgiven the first time. All the raging hormones and so on. But someone should tell him that he could get in trouble in the future for something like that if he did it to anyone else and you're his best friend. He should hear that from you and hopefully, he'll respect everything you've said and your wishes (if he really is your best friend).
