Is it normal goodbye before traveling?

Is it normal that every time I'm going to travel I feel like submitting a story saying goodbye to you guys? Not because I'm leaving forever or anything in particular. But just in case something happens to me and I don't get to come back, I wouldn't like to leave without having the chance to properly say bye. Even if it wasn't my intention to never come back. Is this normal?
