Is it normal I hate being called "cute" and "sweet?"

I'm a girl. :P People are always calling me cute or nice or a sweety. "Aww she's such a sweet girl." *pinches cheeks* I hate it because it makes me feel like a child. (They don't actually pinch my cheeks haha) It makes me think people don't or won't take me seriously just because I look "sweet." I feel like a target because people tend to try to take advantage of nice people. I do speak softly, so I suppose that doesn't help my case. Maybe I should try practicing speaking louder in the mirror? :S

I get called sweet a lot but never cute. It's always sexy, attractive, or 'bitch'. I would like a change once in a while.

i get called cute and adorable which can be really patronizing at times but then i guess its still a compliment so i dont mind too much, at least im known as the cute girl rather than something insulting haha although i think it does stop people from taking me seriously or else they expect me not to be smart and are surprised when they find out i sorta am.

I've already made sammiches. ^.^ Fresh goldfish from the tank and chocolate chip cookie on croissant with ketchup. Spaghetti dipping sauce on the side.

Twigs and Milkbone for dessert. :D

Haha, but cute things are so...cute. I think that's a good thing:). And I doubt speaking louder will make a difference, you'll just be known as the cute girl who speaks loudly.

Are they calling you cute, like a little kid, or cute like a cute chick. These are two completely different ideas that should be taken completely differently. I would take it as a compliment if I were you XD

I get that feeling too sometimes. Only, it's more of when people tell me how pretty I am. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's flattering, but I feel like people won't take me seriously because I'm a pretty little girl and that annoys me. I don't like being judged by that kind of thing. I like being judged on my talents and abilities.

UUUUGH!!!I hate it when ppl do that to me!The only place I'm not treated like a kid is when I'm with my friends or online on edgeworld,yoville,ect. ect. ect.!!!!
