If you're paying your own rent then you shouldn't have to worry about it. Although you'd be doing chores anyway because you don't want to live in a dirty shithole right?

And if she's paying the rent... well then there's your answer. If she's supporting you she still gets to tell you what to do. You can't expect to live off her for free, not if you aren't willing to accept her rules.
