I protest against gay marriage or a regular basis.I believe that marriage was meant to be between a man and a woman only, and that gay marrige will take rights and freedoms away from hardworking families.

I think that you are right, marriage done by christianism is supposed to be for a man and a woman.
Now marriage in general, is ment for people that love eachother, both the heterosexual and gay community.
Christianism did not invent marriage, christianism does not make the rules.
Why don't you protest divorce? It's one of the most hypocritical part of christian marriage.
And what are you talking about gay marriage taking freedom and rights. That's nonsense! If I marry a man tomorrow, how would that affect you?
Gay marriage should be legalized in every state, also in every country.
It's our right, it's our freedom to choose who we are planning to stay with for the rest of our lives. We need happiness, we need love. We need less bitterness in this world.
I respect your opinion. Hope you can respect mine.
Gays have the same values of any heterosexual family.
Cleanliness and innocence are all very well but not when they lead to ignorance and discrimination. The Bible talks about masturbation and same-sex relationships being wrong because they don't lead to population increase (a powerful driver for a strong empire in those days). We're now at a stage where overpopulation is a serious issue.
Times change and attitudes need to change with them. While it may well have been useful 2000 years ago, it seems incredible to suggest it must always be so.
Unfortunately your logic is a bit flawed in my opinion, if in fact gay marriage is deemed legal, this will only increase human rights in general - open a doorway for increased rights and freedoms.
This makes me belive that you dont think its fair that they recieve the same benefits as hedero marriages. What benefits are you afraid to loose exactly? I would really love to know.
Hardworking, you should be careful because some people may think that you are implying that gays are not hardworking; and I wont believe that you meant to imply that.
HOWEVER, gays should be allowed to have civil unions which carry the same rights as any institutionalized marriage.
Religious nuts get to keep their petty old traditions and gays get their petty statement to the world.
also, I used to think that it was a bad idea for gays to get married, but when I couldent really come up with a logical reason this would be bad, and started asking, would this actually hurt me if gays could get married? I changed my view on the issue.
warning***long post ahead, may go slightly off topic***
I kinda thought back on that and maybe, one of the big reasons that people are scared of the idea (besides what "brainwashing" they may have gotten from church, family, and peers), is they are so used to the norm, you know, tradition, that allowing this may completely destroy society as we know it, you know, a domino effect that would change a lot of things. I dont see that happening for gay marriage, but when i compare it to the thoughts on some other big issues past and present, like, for example, the issue of slavery or Going Green, people argued for the most part, that completley changing the law could cause a collapse in the economy, or to erode the current societys behaviors and traditions.
Granted, things did change when slavery was passed, but it did nt completly ruin it as they feared, cause industrialization even got to them, and they could replace slaves with machines and cheap labor. (sometimes cheaper than it was to feed and care for slaves, and they needed less due to the machines).
of course, the industrial revolution was around the corner as well, so the time was just about right to end it. if they did it in the early 1800s, it may have very well crippled the economy for a long time.
Granted, just like with the issues of Slavery and Illegal immigration (or insert Environmental/human right issue here), there will always be idiots just spouting off what a[friend/church/family member/media/etc]tells them, or gives you no reason for it at all. and others may simply speak out using their emotions, but some people may have a good point
(even if you dont agree) for opposing your view on the issue
Although, wasn't marriage made by religion? And being homosexual is against the religion, right? So I can see why people would get upset about it.
To be honest, I think that if you don't belong to the religion that made marriage then you shouldn't complain about others like homosexuals being married.
