Tax laws are probably different in my country than yours, but here if your parents claim you as a dependent, then that usually means you are not old enough to do your own taxes, therefore you don't have to pay any taxes.
Why are you still expected to pay $2000? If your parents are the ones who files the tax report, then they are the ones who would owe the money, not you.
For here, if you make a certain amount, you have to pay. I remember in high school, whatever was taken out of my check over the year, I got it back but not anymore.
