People and TV (Scrubs third season/third episode “My white whale” make it out that little boys will be traumatized if they’re not circumcised but their dad is.
Is it normal my sons have never cared they have foreskin and I don’t?
Is it normal my sons have never cared they have foreskin and I don’t?

However you might want to explain it simply. I remember my parents saying that it was something they used to do but that their doctor said it was unnecessary. That really helped later on, because I had some elementary school teachers who described it as "just a way to keep things clean" and didn't imply that there was any kind of controversy, or that anyone would be uncircumcised. That really bothered me, not because I felt like an outcast, but because it meant that either my teachers were not telling the whole truth, or they didn't know it. I was disturbed by the idea that an entire society would allow it to happen basically for no reason, and not question it.
Now, one way or the other, children learn that their teachers don't always have the right answer and that society is sometimes mistaken. Things like slavery should seem a lot worse. But for me, the idea of circumcision was one key example. Penile 1984, if you will. Of course if I'd had a brother or today's internet, I probably would have realized that I had lots of company.
Anyway, the important thing is, even if I was freaked out by "society" for a spell, I was happy to be me, and i didn't think of my dad as a freak. He was my dad! Who cares about his penis. I was just not keen on the idea of losing my foreskin, which was a source of comfort and pleasure. And, you know, attached to me.
Btw, I've never had any girls mention it negatively either, so in case "people" or TV have given you the idea that women will make nasty comments, that's bullshit too.
