Is it normal not to be able to see one's face in your mind?

I only have this problem with the one whom I see almost everyday and whom I've been loving (a LOT) for about 6 years (he doesn't love me back in that way though) Whenever I try to see his face in my mind, I just can't. As if I can't remember what he looks like, it's never a clear picture, only when I've been seeing him in the last few hours. If you'd ask me "Could you remember the face of that one teacher you had 6 years ago?" That's easy, I can see a clear picture of that person in my mind, although the last time I saw him/her was 6 years ago. Why do I only have this problem with the love of my life? That ought to be easiest, you'd say! Is there anyone else who recognizes this problem?
