Yes, in the sense that it's impossible to be considered completely normal by everyone. The word "normal" is extremely flexible, and what's considered normal in one culture is condemned in other cultures. Everyone has a different idea of what normal is.
However, just because you think one person has a slightly abnormal interest, that doesn't make them insane. You really shouldn't chuck that word around lightly, otherwise it loses it's meaning. If me liking a band that no-one else likes is considered insanity, then what would you classify severe schizophrenia as?
I don't agree at all, to me we are all insane, and i'm not using the word lightly, but that is far from being negative. People we consider normal just have the same insanity than evryone else, those we don't consider sane just have a kind of insanity diferent from ours.
The example of religion, morals, ethics, etc. are proof of man's insanity. We atribute value to things which doesn't exist, we belive blindly and live accodingly to invisible principles, and that's what makes us human and spiritual beings, even I am very religious on my own way. Nevertheless in retrospective we are all utterly insane. If we learnt that lesson we wouldn't be so quick judging other people.
