I don't have a basic belief in things. like i believe in the afterlife, souls, and being reborn , but i just can't truly believe in heaven , hell , or god. when most people talk about it i either don't listen or i lie to make them feel better. is that normal to do or am just alone on this subject.

Yes you may be my secretary, but only if you're my HOT secretary :P
You need to see it RIGHT NOW!!! Download and watch. See you in two hours! Haha.
Personally, I don't care what anyone else believes. From my vantage point, I have heard a lot of arguments that were great arguments, but I have heard more that were misinformed and/or directed more towards the fallacies of the PEOPLE who ran the religion rather than the spiritual aspect of the religion itself.
Crazy thing is, in all of these religious arguments, I don't really give a damn =/ Like Shackleford said, I try to avoid it.
The afterlife is not guaranteed to be either blissful or torturous. It is what you make it in this life, literally. If you are an Ethical creature, you should be able to adapt to the afterlife, if that is what you choose. The notion that the afterlife is in some far away place and/or in a different form is completely false.
