Just curious as to how many people are like this. I am completely obsessed with my girlfriend. I have been with her for 2 and a half years and she is all I think about.

After 10 years of marriage, I am still obsessed with my wife.

Don't turn into a stalker if you two break up. Obsessions can be very dangerous !

I like my obsession, though!

I very much agree.

It's normal to love your significant other, but it's never normal to become obsessive. What if she breaks up with you, what would you do? You to get control of this before you become a full-fledged stalker v

Obsession often times leads to her trying to gain some space and ultimately destroying the relationship. Back up a little and get some friends of your own.

Its good to love your partner, but too much of anything is a bad thing!

Lesson for today kids -moderation-

I'm not a kid anymore! What if the obsession is mutual? Does that make it better?

I didn't point you out as a kid specifically, its a saying, although you jumped to defense pretty quick lolz.

Obsession is something that rarely ever turns out well. Mutual love, respect, caring, understanding, these are all good things. Mutual obsession might be taking it a little over the edge. The word obsession itself is defined as 1) a compulsive or irrational occupation 2)An unhealthy fixation. Do either of these sound like a healthy relationship topic to you?

agreed, it does happen (I find it happens more often in long distance relationships, when the need to 'own' eachother is greater).. It could work though and it does show that you care. Just try to keep the jealousy (because that's the real problem here) from becoming a problem

Good thought, obsession and jealousy come hand in hand so often, that I didn't really think to make a differentiation. But you are correct, if you OP can keep the jealousy out of it, the obsession shouldn't really be an issue.
